Early Life and Career

Nico Williams Arthuer was born in Pamplona, Spain on July 12, 2002. He is the son of a Ghanaian father and a Spanish mother. Williams began playing football at a young age, joining the youth ranks of Athletic Bilbao at the age of 11. He quickly rose through the ranks, making his debut for the club's B team in 2020.

Breakthrough Season

Williams broke into the Athletic Bilbao first team in the 2021-22 season. He made his La Liga debut in September 2021 and quickly established himself as a regular starter. Williams scored his first goal for the club in October 2021 against Deportivo Alavés.

International Recognition

Williams' impressive performances at club level have earned him recognition at international level. He made his debut for the Spanish under-21 team in November 2021 and has since become a regular starter. Williams is also eligible to play for Ghana, but he has expressed his desire to represent Spain at senior level.
